How do I even began to describe this book? I finished reading it during the new year, so I'm a little late. I feel like Ken Follet is the best discovery I've ever made. His book is amazing. I never expect to enjoy a historical romance when the first time I'm looking for a book. His writing style is amazing. It's easy to understand, modest, delicate and passionate. I'm enjoying politics more than I enjoy it before. He made that work.
Regardless, I was skeptical when I saw his book during the first time. Especially since it's romance. I'm a young adult now and I have grown those past of reading romance novels. But he made it right.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed the first book more, maybe because WW2 is the hardest time everyone have to experience. It's terrible.
Aside than that, I'm really enjoying the book. I think it's a great way to teach people history and politics. Highly recommend it in case you wanna read historical romance. Also, check out Ken Follet. His book is easy to understand, so in case you wanna improve your English, his books are for you!
I'm rating this book 4.4/5. Ken Follet gets a 5 star from me!
